About Me
I am fortunate to have experienced many of life’s pleasures in addition to its pains. After spending over two decades supporting people to be happier and healthier in a variety of ways - from kids at camp to adults in prison, from teens in turmoil to professionals aiming for success - I continued my formal education to earn a Masters degree in Counselling Psychology. On top of this, I have training in mediation. Each of my experiences has allowed me to work with people in different ways to help others achieve a sense of contentment and satisfaction in life. I am a Canadian Certified Counsellor with experience and training in a variety in areas including addictions and trauma.
Mission Statement
I listen to what you say and care to meet your needs. Whether it's a sense of peace, relief, greater understanding, insight, confidence, control, or other desire, my mission is to help you achieve it.
Theoretical Approach
My theoretical orientation is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and I incorporate various other strategies to fit your personal goals and needs. By making changes to how you think and act, you can change the way you feel. There are a number of practical behavioural strategies for stress management, strengthening decision-making and problem solving skills, goal setting, encouraging daily activity, and improving conflict resolution skills.
